The American Indian Integrated Health Care Forum Planning Committee is accepting award nominations for the Statewide Integrated Health Care Forum. Nominations for the Al Long Memorial Award are due by 3/2/18 at 5:00 pm.
The Al Long Memorial Award was created to honor one of the long-time leaders for the Navajo Nation in behavioral health. His lifelong dedication to advocating for, and improving the health and mental health needs of his people was an example to each of us about the meaning of dedication, commitment and empowerment. Mr. Long’s understanding of Navajo tradition and Navajo humor allowed him to communicate most effectively with peers, behavioral health professionals and most importantly clients.
This award is presented to recognize a person whose life, actions, and experiences have supported the needs of the physical and behavioral health community of service recipients and providers.
